Last year we introduced a Pathways Officer at MSA who works closely with year 9/10 students and families to guide and support them towards options for their future.

The pathways program at MSA includes information sessions for students about potential opportunities they can take after year 10. The students are guided as they explore the options they wish to pursue. From TAFE to other alternative schooling, local beauty schools and apprenticeship opportunities. Thanks to our Pathways Officer, we can ensure all year 9/10 students are set up for a successful future.

Our Pathways Officer, Nathan Karlin said, “My role is to facilitate the leaving of Mastery Schools for the year 10 students and give year 9 students the preparation for year 10 whether at MSA or elsewhere. I guide both students and parents through that transition.”

Last year we saw our first graduates leave MSA. The students graduated with the confidence, motivation and aspiration to learn, grow and achieve after MSA.

Nathan Karlin said, “It was great to see that due to their increase in education at MSA, the graduates were confident enough to feel they could go out and make something of themselves and conquer whatever they wanted to conquer.”

On November 25th, 2022, the year 10 students graduated from MSA, saying goodbye to their teachers and students on their graduation day. The students had the opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments with their family and friends and look forward to the future pathways they had created for themselves.
