Message from the Principal

Dear Parents/ Guardians of MSA,

My heartfelt thank you goes to all of the parents who attended our inaugural ‘Teach the Parent’ event. It was a vibrant evening of learning, laughs and love! Thank you to our amazing teachers for opening their classrooms and giving our parents the ‘student’ experience. It makes me incredibly proud to see them in action and to hear the reflections from the parents about what they now know about how learning occurs at Mastery Schools Australia. The night concluded with a positive checkout from the parents where stories were shared about the immense transformations within and beyond the classroom that has occurred for their child.

As was discussed on the evening, learning will be continuing right up until the last moment at our school. Your student is expected to be in attendance every day until Friday 2 December. As we have discussed on many occasions, success occurs at Mastery Schools Australia when the teaching is exceptional, and students attend and put in effort every day. Students who are not meeting our attendance requirements will be contacted in the coming days. Please help us to ensure that every day counts.

We look forward to connecting with you all again on Wednesday 30 November at our Awards Night. All students will be presented with their report card on this evening, hence we urge all parents (and extended family members), students and staff to be in attendance. We will be conducting this prestigious event at Springfield Central State School Hall. Please RSVP using the link below to secure your families seats at this event.

On Thursday 1 November we also look forward to welcoming the parents / caregivers of our Year 6 students for our ‘Year 6 Celebration’, as we congratulate them on the conclusion of their primary school education.

And finally, in a move to protect our student’s from the UV rays of our glorious Queensland sun, we are aligning our SunSmart practices with the guidelines from the Cancer Council. As of Monday 14th November 2022, every student attending school must have a MSA hat to participate in any outdoor activities. I urge all parents to see the ‘Updates & Reminders’ section below to read the amended Student Uniform and Appearance Policy.

There is so much to look forward to in the coming weeks – thank you for being a part of the MSA family.

Kind regards,

Sharyn Angel

What I love about MSA: That it is entirely based on the Science of Learning and the extremely positive culture within the school.
